BACK TO SUPPORT HOME

Kelly-Creswell has been producing Airspray/Conventional machines for almost 70 years.  We get calls weekly from customers that have had a machine in operation for 20+ years.  As such, you can imagine how difficult it is to support all of the parts for all of these machines.  Through the years, we have made some changes to the components of the machines such as air compressors, engines, air regulators, tanks, tires and wheels, etc.  Although there are many different models of Airspray machines that we have produced, many of the components are the same.  Below, you will find links to the different models that we have produced.  In addition, I have listed some links to some areas that I feel  need further explanation or need help in identification.

HEAVY DUTY MODEL "C"

Background information:  The HEAVY DUTY MODEL "C" (HDC) is one of the original stripers that Kelly-Creswell produced.  The frame work for the machine has changed very little through the years.  However, there have been several changes in some very important components of the machine including engines, compressors, regulators, paint guns.  Until 1991, most machines were sold to apply oil based traffic paint.  As such, the plumbing, tanks, gaskets, hoses, and paint gun were designed to only apply oil based paint.  After 1991, the use of Latex or Water Based paint became popular.  When this happened, Kelly-Creswell Company initially added accessories that could be purchased with a machine to allow for better handling Latex Based Paint.  The accessories included:  Stainless Steel plumbing upgrade, Stainless Steel Tank Upgrade, Non Bleeder Paint Gun Conversion Kits, etc.  Existing machines could also be retrofitted with these accessories.  Sometimes, this causes confusion in ordering parts.  That is why it is important for the owner of the machine to provide us with a serial number of the machine so that we can look up what the machine was originally supposed to have installed.  Now, Kelly-Creswell has two different models to choose from:  The PO-HDC and the PO-HDC-SS (Stainless Steel).  The PO-HDC is carbon steel set up to spray latex based paint.  As such, it has carbon steel plumbing and tank and a "bleeder" type down gun.  the PO-HDC-SS has Stainless Steel Plumbing and Tanks and has a "non-bleeder flush" down gun.  (more information on paint gun identification).

Some of the recent changes that we have made to the HDC are:  Switched the orientation of the Engine and Compressor so that current models now have the engine on the right hand side of the machine when viewing the machine from the operator's position, redesigned the gun mount so that it is now easy to move the gun forward of the air curtains so that operator can get closer to a curb or parking block.  If you have any questions about what is the proper part for your machine, just give us a call.
